Friends of Adoptive Families

Friends of Adoptive Families is a non-profit 501c3 organization committed to improving the lives of orphaned children in South Korea, China, Philippines, and Guatemala.  Our organization is comprised of mainly Northeast Ohio adoptive parents who want to give back to the countries & orphanages who cared for their children.  We also have a strong commitment to support those children still waiting for their adoptive families.

Every year we support various projects & orphanages by raising funds through our Evening at the Races event, collecting donations & community contributions. This support allows us to contribute 100% of our revenue.

In 2007 we raised $14,700.00 to benefit the many children overseas still waiting for their forever family.

2007 Donations

  • $4800.00 donation to the Friends of Adoptive Families Fund. This fund will reduce the adoption fees of two waiting special needs children in hopes of reducing their wait time for a forever family.
  • $1000.00 donation to fund the salary of a childcare worker at Concordia Children’s Services in the Philippines.
  • $2000.00 donation to the Tomorrow Plan, an initiative to help the estimated 30,000 children in Chinese orphanages currently in need of surgery and/or specialized medical care.
  • $3000.00 donation to Korea Social Services Home in South Korea.
  • $1000.00 for basic need items to Los Ninos de Guatemala.
  • $2500.00 donation towards the China Service Project departing in May 2008. Donation will help fund improvement projects at a special needs orphanage just outside Beijing
